Next, visit the United Nations Square and the Royal Palace surroundings. In Rabat, discover the Mausoleum of Mohammed V, Hassan Tower, and the historic Place des Oudayas. Continue to Volubilis, home to remarkable Roman ruins, and the sacred city of Moulay Idriss I. En route to Fez, stop in Meknes to explore Bab Mansour, Hari Souani, and the old Medina. Continue to Azrou, where you’ll visit a cedar forest home to friendly Barbary macaques. After lunch in Midelt, travel through the stunning Ziz Valley, with its red gorges, lush oases, and traditional adobe kasbahs. Arrive in Merzouga, where you’ll embark on a camel trek across the Erg Chebbi dunes. Watch the sunset, enjoy a traditional Moroccan dinner, and spend the night in a desert camp under a starry sky, accompanied by Berber music.
