Day 1: Fes → Ifrane → Azrou → Merzouga Desert

Initially, depart from Fes and head south through Ifrane, famously known as “Morocco’s Little Switzerland.” Specifically, stop at the cedar forests of Azrou to capture photos of the friendly Barbary macaques. Afterward, continue through the Middle Atlas Mountains to reach the lush palm groves of the Ziz Valley. Finally, arrive in Merzouga for a warm welcome with traditional tea and settle into your riad for the night.

Day 2: Explore Merzouga, Khamlia & Sunset Camel Trek

Following breakfast, dive deep into the culture of the Merzouga region. Specifically, visit Khamlia Village to experience the unique Gnawa music performed by descendants of Malian slaves. Moreover, explore the Miffis Mines and share tea with local Bedouins to learn about their nomadic lifestyle. In the late afternoon, embark on a camel trek across the Erg Chebbi dunes. Consequently, you will spend a magical night in a Berber tent under the starry Sahara sky.

Finally, travel through the picturesque scenery of the Dades Valley to reach the gorge where you will spend the night surrounded by stunning cliffs.
